Boris Slamberger

Before Boris Slamberger decided to work for Solarvalue in 2007, he weighed his options very carefully. In the end he chose Solarvalue: "Our company is built on high-technology production," said Slamberger. "That appeals to any engineer. At the same time, it is an investment in the future. The solar power industry is booming and the trend within the European Union is toward continued development. On top of that, it is simply fun to work for a fast- growing company with the international position of Solarvalue."

Boris Slamberger has more than 25 years of professional experience in metallurgical production, with special emphasis on energetics. At the company Mariborska Livarna Maribor, he worked with copper and the associated production of copper alloys. Most recently, Boris Slamberger was the assistant managing director at TDR in Ruse. At TDR, he was responsible for investment, power supply and technical maintenance related to the production of calcium carbide and ferrosilicon.

"I am pleased that the production of solar power silicon in Ruse continues a long tradition of processing silicon in the region. Despite the international dimension, I am very much a local patriot," said Slamberger, laughing. Once we have started the production of solar grade silicon, we can move on to the next step: the production of ingots, wafers and cells."

"My commitment to the manufacture of silicon in our Ruse plant for the solar power industry is targeted towards improving the exploitation of our sun's energy. And while the importance of solar energy as an alternative energy source is continuing to grow, I have the feeling that I'm working on something meaningful."
